ADCAP® is an empirically derived petrophysical simulation technique that integrates the log analysis results of porosity, water saturation and permeability with a rigorous global capillary pressure model in predicting a Free Water Level (FWL) associated with an oil or gas sand. This product can be used to predict the downdip limits of a reservoir when no contacts are observed on the log. Thousands of reservoirs have been analyzed worldwide with ADCAP® since the technique was developed in 1992 with results confirmed (where available) by seismic interpretations, downdip drilling and pressure/depth analysis.
